Bucket Wheel Excavator is great value for a Technic set
Great value
#4 of 81 Technic sets with 1,000+ pieces
Motorized sets usually score poorly here, because motors cost a lot but add few pieces, yet this excavator still rates great value, fifth of 66 big Technic sets. It gives about 100 pieces per $10 against a typical 77 and around 44% more plastic per dollar than its group, and 534 builders rate it 4.3 of 5.
Motorized: motors and hubs cost a lot but add little plastic, so these measures undervalue it.
